Biography
A. Peter Bailey is a distinguished scholar, journalist, and author whose work has significantly contributed to understanding the life and legacy of Malcolm X. A former reporter for the Amsterdam News, Bailey’s writings on Malcolm X offer critical insights into the cultural and political climate of the time.
Bailey graduated from the University of the District of Columbia and later pursued graduate studies at the prestigious Columbia University, where he honed his research and analytical skills. His deep scholarship focuses on the intersection of race, identity, and the Black liberation movement.
In addition to his notable book, "Witnessing Brother Malcolm," which reflects on his personal experiences with Malcolm X, Bailey has written extensively on Black culture and history. His work remains an invaluable resource for understanding Malcolm X's intellectual and spiritual evolution, offering rich perspectives on his profound impact on Black thought and activism.
